I’d like to extend my best wishes to all of you as we begin the month of March with hopefully some warmer days ahead.

2) I would also like to call you your attention and ask you to SAVE the DATE for our upcoming Family Engagement Movie night for ALL of our SGBS students from JK to Gr. 8 and their families. Please see the attached flyer for more information.

3) I am pleased to announce that St. Giovanni Battista Scalabrini CES has been approved by SNP Central-East Ontario and the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services to begin a Student Nutrition Program starting this month.

4) Please note that more detailed information regarding ShareLife Week at St. Giovanni Battista Scalabrini CES, which takes place from March 23 to March 27, 2026 will be communicated in the very near future.
5) Order forms and Payment information for our two returning Hot Lunch Programs: Pizza and Eggsmart for this final term will be communicated shortly, and these hot lunch programs will be accessible on https://www.school-day.com/ as of Tuesday, March 3, 2026. Finally, with the results of the Google Form now in hand, the third lunch program provider that has been chosen based on the selection of the majority of parent respondents will be Ciao Ragazzi.
The hot lunch program vendor is PPM 150 compliant with a successful history of providing nutritious, delicious and high quality hot lunches to schools within the YCDSB. This lunch program will run on MONDAYS only as they are currently delivering to other schools on Wednesdays. This hot lunch program is scheduled to begin at St. Giovanni Battista Scalabrini CES on Monday, March 30, 2026. Ordering and payment for this program will also be available on School Day.
Hard copy order forms will be available for families who prefer to pay by EXACT CASH or cheque made payable to “St. Giovanni Battista Scalabrini CES,” however, the school’s preference is for parents/guardians to order using School Day.
All Term 2 Hot Lunch Program orders and payments for Pizza, Eggsmart, and Ciao Ragazzi are due on Monday, March 23, 2026.
