On Monday, September 15, 2025, our Skyhawks from kindergarten to grade 8 dedicated the morning to remember Terry Fox and his courageous battle with osteogenic sarcoma, (a form of bone cancer) and his amazing run from St. John’s to Thunder Bay. Students must monitor their level of activity and take water breaks to remain adequately hydrated, especially during the lunch hour- students can bring water bottles during the lunch

Name Change to SGBS

On Friday, February 11, 2025, the Thornhill community gathered to celebrate the official renaming of Blessed Scalabrini CES to St. Giovanni Battista Scalabrini Catholic School. St. Scalabrini was canonized in October 2022, and the Thornhill school was excited to mark this incredible occasion for its namesake.
